Tartu court of appeal

Tartu court of appealcommenced its activity on the 15th of September 1993. At present fourteen judges, including the Chairman, shall hear civil, criminal, misdemeanour and administrative matters by a panel of three judges.

Tartu court of appeal as a court of appeal reviews the decisions of Jõgeva, Põlva Tartu, Valga, Viljandi and Võru county courts and Jõhvi and Tartu administrative court by way of appeal proceedings on the basis of appeals, appeals against a ruling and protests.
