Saare county court

Saare county court is a court of first instance, where civil, criminal and misdemeanour matters shall be heard. The territorial jurisdiction of Saare county court includes the county of Saare.

Saare county court is located in Kuressaare, at the address Lossi 2. The building belonged formerly to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Estonia, Saare county court commenced its activity at the abovementioned address in February 1996 after the reconstruction of the building, before that there was a military hospital in the building.

Since the 1st of January 2004 three judges have been employed in Saare county court, from among whom one - Kristel Pedassaar, is also Chairman of the Court.

A land registry department and a probation supervision department are attached to Saare county court.

The land registry department is located at the address Lossi 4a since 1999. Two assistant judges are employed in the land registry department, one of them is also head of the land registry department, two land registry officers and a technical officer also work there.

The probation supervision department is located in the building in the courtyard at Lossi 2 since 1998 and three probation officers are employed there.
